SOLER User Workshop in Paris, 16-18 June 2025

SOLER organized its first User Workshop in Paris Observatory, Meudon, on 16–18 June 2025. The hybrid workshop was attended by more than 40 participants.

The first day of the meeting was devoted to SOLER science with presentations from the consortium and the broader heliophysics community. Talks on all aspects of the energetic solar eruptions from the solar observations to the interplanetary in-situ observations and modelling were presented.

The second day of the meeting was devoted to SOLER tools. In the morning, the SOLER team presented the analysis tools in two demo sessions, and in the afternoon, the day continued hands-on exercises where the community got to use the tools in practice and learn about them first-hand. In the end of the second day, the consortium had a meeting with its International Expert Advisory Group, who provided valuable information on future collaboration possibilities as well as advice on where to target the dissemination activities of the consortium.

On the third day, the workshop had discussion sessions on future scientific collaborations and feedback on the SOLER tool development. Excellent initiatives for future collaborative science work and very valuable feedback on the tools was gathered.

The next User Workshop will be organized in one year’s time in Potsdam, Germany.
